Cedarlane Diagnostics is pleased to introduce Pertusscan 2 + 2 ELISA for the detection antibodies against Bordetella Pertussis.

Pertusscan 2 + 2 (Cat # CLPERT) is an ELISA for the detection of IgA and IgG antibodies against Bordetella Pertussis filamentus hemagglutinin (FHA) and pertussis toxin (PT) in serum or plasma specimens. The test is intended for the determination of current/recent infecion or for immunity. Pertusscan 2 + 2 is intended for professional use within a laboratory.

Principal of the Test
The assay consists of two microwell-strip plates coated with highly purified fractions of FHA and PT as antigen. In infected individuals, the antibodies produced against the FHA and PT will bind to its antigen. Alkaline Phosphatase conjugated anti-human IgA or IgG will bind to the human antibodies attached to the antigen. When the substrate is added, a yellow colour will develop, the intensity of which is proportional to the amount of bound antibody.
